8/8 - It's All So Beautiful

163 miles.

Nope, not even going to try to draw scenery from today. Beartooth Pass, Rt 212 from Red Lodge, MT to Cooke City, MT, can only be experienced.

Temps drop quickly at altitude, especially after being rained on. I gratefully rolled into the hands of Alice and Mike, Boston scooterist Fred's sister and her husband. It's amazing the connections a person makes on this kind of trip.

  1. Stephanie I cannot believe the summer you are having. The twin peaks of Amerivespa and Sturgis alone wouls be a very special feat. But they are only points on your compass.

    You met Shreve???

You have to meet Mike if at all possible as he makes his way back from Alaska.

Just threading your story with Shreve Stockton, Mike Saunders and the Trail 90 folks makes Jack Kerouack pale.

I can't imagine what you have in store.

  2. I'm glad you got to ride Beartooth! I haven't ridden it yet, but I'm excited about it. One day!
